Flinders University Paediatric Dietetic Service
This service is delivered by Flinders University final year Nutrition and Dietetics students, with supervision from a senior Paediatric Dietitian and clinical educator employed by Flinders University.
This outpatient clinic has been designed to provide a service to children and families with dietary concerns that are not otherwise seen by the paediatric team at Flinders Medical Centre. The session will provide nutrition assessment and education to children and families. This service has a strong relationship with Flinders Medical Centre paediatric dietitians and when required clients can be referred into acute care services.
Referrals accepted between 0 – <16 years from GP, paediatrician, allied health, or self-referrals. To book your appointment, please call us on (08) 7221 8700 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
This is a private cost and includes a co-payment of $40.
- Introduction of solids
- Fussy eating
- Lactose, fructose, or sucrose malabsorption
- Type 2 diabetes
- Irritable bowel syndrome
- General nutrition advice (healthy eating, vegetarian diets)
